How to get backlinks from blog comments effectively?
Blog commenting and forum posting are probably the best free ways to drive traffic to your site. Many people do blog commenting everyday to marketing their sites. They are building backlinks for their blogs. Blog commenting actually drives traffic to your site. But you shouldn’t pay much attention on traffic. There may be more value in posting blog comments in terms of getting links to your site than in getting traffic to it. It is a good way to increase your pagerank. The number and quality of links which connect to your site are an important aspect for search engine to determine search pages results. So the more comments you post, the more traffic and the higher pagerank you will have. If you site is not indexed by google, this will help Google index it more quickly.

How to do blog commenting effectively? The most important thing to remember when leaving comment is to put a link to your website in the “website” field of the comment form. I think all of us know this and do this. There are some helpful advices for you when posting comment on a blog. Just read below. You are welcome to suggest your method to get better result in comment posting. Other people here and I will be very happy to hear it.
Always make value comments. That will be the value of you and your site too. People will visit your site to see who you are and what you are doing. Don’t just post something like this “Great post”, “It’s an interesting article”, “Good post, thanks” or something similar. No one likes that type of comment. You can be placed in the spam list.
You should try to comment on popular blogs with high traffic and high pageranks. You can probably get some traffic from them and your blog pagerank might be higher too. Leaving comments on blogs having the same niche with your site is better. You will have more chance people visit your site.
You should try to be on the top comment position. Try to be the first person to have comment, it will get more attention. People might visit your link if you have a good comment. If you can’t get the top comment, reply to the top comment so you will appear closer to the top.
Don’t put links in your comment content or it will not be accepted by the blog author. And if it has a link or keyword as the name, the chance of it being approved goes down dramatically. There are plenty of blog owners who refuse any comment with a link in it, or any comment that uses a keyword instead of a name.
Put comments on blogs with “Top commentator” list. You can be one of the top persons if you have many accepted comments. The blog owner will love you and you could have a good connection with him.
If you can, try finding do follow comments to work with. Google really loves these comments.
Posting blog comments is an effective and free way to get traffic to your site. It is an important park in SEO. It helps increase your site pagerank. Blog commenting also helps you build a good friendship with the blog owners. Good comments can attract his attention, so it will be easy to make a guest post. Guest post is a blog marketing method which can give you more visitors than just commenting.

Thaks for the great info. Some of the tools out there for building links are no more than spam generators. I am finding more and more that to gain truly effective traffic, the network you choose to befriend is the most importants factor. Popular websites may generate traffic, but lots of them have a donot follow policy which is important too know. THANKS

Yes,Blog commenting help to increase the inbound backlinks. But you should check weather the blog allows Do Follow attribute or not.If you comment on No Follow attribute blog ,you are not going to get any thing of it.So make a list of Do Follow blogs.Try to write relevant comment on the topic or relate to the post!!

I’m just posting for the backlink!
Hahahaha, just kidding. Dofollow backlinks from blog comments does help your pagerank, but to increase your search engine ranking position I have read that you need to have anchor text. The SERP seems more important to me.
To get backlinks with anchor text I think you’d have to go to forum or article postings instead.
They all seem to serve a purpose even if they are nofollow, so I don’t think you should be a purist. Some people say google evaluates your nofollow:dofollow ratio and if you have no nofollow backlinks it is suspicious.
I think bloggers are too uptight about policing the comboxes anyway. Most people aren’t going to try to get more than one backlink from one blog anyway. Surely google isn’t going to give you a ton of link juice if you have 250 links from the comboxes on one blog.
